FRS is NOT on Special Veto Override Agenda.  You can follow this link to see the Special Session Agenda.

It is interesting that Speaker Cannon makes the following statement : “Consequently, I believe we need to confine ourselves to issues that can be handled within a single day and to focus our business on remediation of problems or drawing attention to future plans. I don’t believe that it is appropriate to rush through legislation or to create new government programs during this limited time.” That smells to me like the intent is to use the new majority to quickly override the selected items, but those that would draw attention, like the FRS issues, will be put off until the regular session starts this winter.

Non-the-less, All FRS participants need to make their feelings known.  We were successful last year, and must fight hard to win the effort to keep the benefits this year also.

I am a teacher, we are hearing rumors that Bill 1319 will be resurrected. Is this rumor or truth?

It would be prudent to plan on it being resurrected, or a newer version being
proposed for the new session, which starts in February.  Tallahassee has made it
clear, from both parties, and both the House and Senate, that FRS will be
    changed.

I am a Csp here in Palm Beach County, that means I am a civilian house bill 303 will hurt every one here including the public who calls on us for protection , take a look around you , every where you turn these officers place their life on jeorpardy to look forward in reaching the golden years of retiring and being able to take care of their families , like they have been a public servant helping to serve Our Country and community. I think house bill 303 should be abolished , this is crazy from the public attacks to private sector and government attacks. I say create more jobs and stop sending our monies overseas for wars we dont know nothing about and focus on our citizens here , We the people who serve and protect, whats wrong with you people
